The Social Fund for Development (SFD) is seeking proposals in the context of poverty reduction and socio-economic development through activities supporting employment creation and income generation for the poor, with the financial assistance from the European Union.

The themes of this call for proposals are:

1. Environment and sustainable development;

2. Health;

3. Integrated local development;

4. Education;

5. Vocational Training;

6. Business support (excluding micro credit schemes)

7. Small community infrastructure as part of one or more of the abovementioned main sectors.

Grants awarded will be comprised between a minimum amount of LE 70,000 and a maximum amount of LE 700,000.

Actions will take place in the following Governorates: Fayoum, Benysuief and Assuiot.

The deadline for submission of proposals will be set in the first quarter of 2008.

Information sessions of this call for proposals will be organized at the concerned Regional Offices premises. A notice  will be published soon.
